The Big Event was covered extensively by the Press this week. Here’s another delightful image of the happy couple from the Daily Star!
Meantime, the total has been tallied up andย ** Percy and Mabel’s wedding raised a massive ยฃ2,227.89 for PDWRA ๐พ**
Enormous thanks go to everyone who supported, and organised their Charity Wedding last Sunday in West Yorkshire. Generously donating time, services, raffle prizes or buying tickets and dressing up for the big event, it made for a wonderfully happy day for all, and an amazing fundraising achievement too!
Thanks to Lisa & Jodie from PDWRA Yorkshire and the team of volunteers lead by Amanda, Percy & Mabel’s Mums Julie & Danii plus so many others who contributed. ๐๐๐
From all the PDWRA pugs, helped every day! ๐๐พ

๐ Percy & Mabel ๐ who met in a park in Leeds 2 years ago became inseparable ever since, have now tied the knot in a fun-filled ceremony in West Yorkshire organised by PDWRA’s local fundraising team & pug parents Julie & Danii. They have since set up their own local pug group, Shibden Pugs, who also kindly fundraise for PDWRA.
Covered by national & regional press, 80 guests with 30 pugs saw the bride & groom arrive at the glamorous wedding venue, the Office in Brighouse in a convertible BMW. Best man Arthur and bridesmaid Coco, also pugs, accompanied them for the ride!
A beautifully decorated dog-friendly wedding cake was served with fizzy ‘paw-secco’ and the best day was had by all.

With many donated and raffled items, the team will be totting-up the total funds raised from such a special, happy event for other pugs in need. We wish them every happiness!๐ฅ๐ฐ๐๐๐๐พ

Stella was surrendered to PDWRA as her owners werenโt able to care for her special needs. She had wobbly legs, suffered from incontinence and unfortunately, was obese. She needed a special family to take care of her, which we found. They worked to trim her down, and this has helped enormously with her mobility and weak legs.
Her mum is so pleased with her progress she said “Stella used to walk with her bottom sloped towards the ground because she couldnโt take the weight on her back legs. Sheโs now walking perfectly with just a bit of a limp from her dodgy leg and she runs now too!! We can even see a waist appearing!โ ๐๐
Stella can get to the fridge quicker than anyone if she knows thereโs fish in there!!! She starts spinning round with excitement ๐. She loves a trip to the seaside and can get across a beach in no time! She takes herself off for a paddle too then sits down in the water and lets the smaller waves break over her back.
Stellaโs so responsive when you talk to her but her facial expressions make it look like youโre telling her the best bit of gossip ever!”
She’s a beautiful girl and we’re so happy that Stella’s now able to get the most out of life, and with her fantastic forever family. ๐
