PDWRA People.

The PDWRA Trustees are supported by a UK-wide framework of regional rehoming co-ordinators (Voluntary Area Co-ordinators – VACs), who facilitate local pug rescue/surrenders, health & welfare assessments, rehabilitation where needed, and onward placement to their best-matched forever homes.

Also essential in supporting these operations are dedicated teams for Fundraising, running the Facebook Mega Auction group activities, plus Communications and Social Media, managing PDWRA’s Website, Facebook, Instagram and X (previously Twitter) platforms.

The PDWRA could not achieve its aims without all these dedicated volunteers providing their skills & time.

Special Notice:

With sincere thanks and good wishes, we say goodbye to Charlotte Hill who was Chairman and Legal Adviser for PDWRA.

Charlotte joined PDWRA as a Trustee and became Chairman in 2018. Charlotte’s leadership has overseen many changes, challenges and achievements for which Charlotte’s fellow Trustees have been very grateful. We would like to thank Charlotte for her dedication and commitment to PDWRA and wish her all the best for the future.

As an interim measure, we welcome back Kay Greene – previous Trustee for PDWRA. Kay has consistently supported PDWRA with charity governance, our stands at Crufts, fostering, home checks, transport, and more.

Not only does Kay have over 25 years of loving pugs as an owner, Kay has a strong charity sector background having professionally worked at a senior level within charity settings for over 35 years. In addition, Kay has voluntarily led and supported another Association into Charitable Incorporated Organisation status. We are delighted that Kay has agreed to support PDWRA short term with her charity sector leadership, management, strategy and governance experience whilst we seek to appoint a permanent Chairman.
