🎶 Her name was Lola – she was a showgirl 🎶
Meet the amazing pug that is Lola. She was adopted a week ago by Joanne to join their existing pug, Hetty. Hetty was not too sure at first, but Lola wore her down and actually allowed her to share “her” chair! Lola has never known the freedom of a house before, and is thrilled to go on walks – everything is new and exciting.
Joanne says: “End of the first week and so much progress made. We’ve been at the park every night this week. Last night there were 11 dogs in the paddock and they all played lovely. Lola is off the lead all the time in the paddock, but comes straight to me when I call her. Eldest son (who Lola took a shine to straight away and has been sleeping on his bed) went out last night so both dogs were on my bed with no issues (apart from Lola wanting to play at 5.45am!) Lola is snoozing on my knee al the time now, and seems not to be craving attention so much. She’s very happy and getting her is one of the best things I’ve ever done.”
Many thanks to Helen, to Jayne for fostering Lola, and to Sam for helping to transport Lola to her new home in the North.
We have the best volunteers ever – and we can now all stop singing the Barry Manilow song!
